The Melissa Independent School District is one of the finest in North Texas, achieving exemplary scores at almost every level. Currently the Melissa ISD is the only school system in Collin County to boast a 'Recognized' honor by the Texas Education Agency in each of its 9-12 grades. Melissa is and always will be a 'one high school town' - a school size that allows each student to get involved and excel while enjoying support from the entire Melissa community. The outstanding student to teacher ratio of 15 to 1 allows each child to receive more personalized attention. Additionally, Melissa High School is the only recognized high school in Collin County and one of the leaders in standardized test scores.
